It has a minor cosmetic defect near the bridge but overall, it is still very beautiful. The violin is noticeably lighter compared to student violins and has good tuning stability. The sound is impressive, with smoother and fuller tones in the lower registers. However, some adjustments may be needed, such as replacing the sound post, sanding down the bridge, and adjusting the nut. After these adjustments, the violin produces a deep and rich sound. It has been holding up well after 8 months of daily playing. The violin compares favorably to others in the same price range and is a great value for the price. The addition of a whittner tailpiece improved the sound even further. Overall, this violin offers a great price for a beautiful instrument with excellent sound quality.
