The rubber on the offense side is a little bit softer than the defense side for more spin and power. The surface of the rubber is typical with no noticeable difference except that it grips the ball better. The underlayment is firm to the touch but allows the ball to indent for more spin and power. The racket itself is a bit heavier than other rackets in that range which helps to make more uniform hits across the surface of the racket. The paddle can last several years if not abused. Many users were able to easily change the rubber. The paddle is fine for recreational play but not recommended for professional play. Although it is not for beginners and better players are recommended to know how aggressive this paddle can be. There were mixed opinions regarding the lack of a case and the price. One customer reported that it broke with normal play.
