- ⚠️ Must Set Correct Direction Before Use – Otherwise It Will Fail to Grip: Spurtar dual-direction oil filter wrench features a special turn-to-lock mechanism. If the direction is set wrong (e.g. using installation direction when removing), turning the wrench will actually loosen the jaws instead of tightening them, causing it to slip and fail to clamp the filter. To set correctly: Open to max diameter, then turn counterclockwise past the center until it locks (for removal) or clockwise past the center until it locks (for installation). Once set right, it grips firmly without slipping
