Does this need to have any kind of web account or outside cloud access to setup, run or otherwise operate like Wink?
Answer: You need to register the controller initially via the web to activate it and update the firmware. Once that is done, you don't ever have to connect it to the internet again but some services will not function. -

Can i transfer my configuration/setup from my veralite directly to the vera plus,or do i have to set everything up from scratch?
Answer: You can transfer configuration/setup from VeratLite directly to VeraPlus. However, device names and scenes will need to be recreated manually. -

Does it connect wirelessly to my router or does it need to be connected to the router by ethernet cable?
Answer: VeraPlus connects with Ethernet cable. -
