Answer: 4 quarts = 8 pints = 16 cups = 1 gallon is the answer. I use mine with a standard air popper and it holds the whole batch at once. -

Is this plastic safe?
Answer: Probably as safe as any plastic. I've never had a problem, however, I pop my popcorn in another bowl and dump it into the Kernel Catcher Popcorn Bowl, so it has never been exposed to high heat. -

How tall is this? I'm worried it might not fit with my air popper
Answer: It is about 7 inches at the brim. It was a little too tall to fit under the spout of my air popper but I set my air popper on a dictionary and everything worked well. It sure is nice to be rid of the unpopped kernels. I also like to add butter flavored salt and other seasonings to my popcorn sometimes and I just add and put the lid on and shake. -
