Answer: The wire size is 16 gauge, which should not be used for more than 13 amps. Based on that alone, the maximum amperage for this product should not be rated above 13 amps. There is also the receptacle to consider. If it is made with smaller/thinner conductors/contacts, it could be rated to less, like 10A. My guess is this should be rated for 10 to 13 Amps. Definitely not 15 Amps.
