The Vacuum Tube Tester Bias Probe by Amptata accurately measures the current flowing into each tube/valve, making bias adjustment easy for those who have knowledge of electronics and tube amplifiers. The product tests any octal-based tube that uses pin 8 for the cathode, and it doesn't measure plate voltage. The unit can come apart easily, and it is better to use a twist lock connector. However, the parts are sturdy, and the cable length is long enough. The device comes without proper documentation, but it's easy to set up. The manufacturer should offer a more durable version of this tool. One downside is that the unit may not be accurate; a reviewer detected an 8mv difference between the digital meter and the device.
