A customer wore it as a base layer in Alaska during summer where temps dropped to the 30’s and it worked for her. Both the top and bottom are made of 250 merino wool. A customer who owns a 250 set says it’s comparable in thickness to say a sweatshirt or hoodie material. The top and bottom are not see-through, and they retain their shape. A customer who ordered a large was surprised that the waist measurement was 16 inches. However, they realized it was 16 inches side to side. The set is comfortable, of good quality, and warm. But it may not be suitable for extreme cold weather. Some customers felt it was too expensive for the quality. The set runs a bit large. One customer returned it because it was too big for her daughter. The socks that came with the order were too large. One customer found the set put together cheaply; the seam was ripped or unsewn. Another customer thought it would solve all the cold problems but still felt cold.
