Answer: Yes, you could screw the handles to the other side of the door, but you would have visible screw holes to deal with. Flipping the door would be a better idea for symmetry, but you would still have holes to fix. -

Answer: They mount on the wall. If you want to stack them on top of each other on the wall, you could. But they aren't free-standing, so you couldn't stack them on top of each other on the floor. -

Answer: 8 inches overall depth from front to wall and 8 inches height from shelf to shelf. -

Is the cabinet made of wood or pressed wood/particle board?
Answer: In my opinion, the edges look like pressed wood, there is not much wood grain that shows, but there is what looks like a real wood knot in it. For my purpose, it works and looks good.
