The MILITARIA bore light is a high-quality, durable product made of aluminum. It uses a soft, neoprene-like end cap that fits over the light source that is 9/16" O.D. The inside diameter of the end cap is 9/16" and narrows to 1/2" at the narrow end where the fiber optic is located. The lighted end will not fit inside a .22 caliber rim fire bore, but it is bright enough to transmit light to inspect the length of the barrel. The MILITARIA bore light is an LED, and the lamp cannot be replaced as it is highly durable. Some users have had to wrap the part of the light fiber tube that goes into the rubber boot with a little scotch tape for a snugger fit, but generally, the product has had zero complaints. A curved tip is removable for a handy little flashlight.
