Answer: One or two cards depict women in a rather low-cut dress but those are fairly easy to omit beforehand without changing gameplay. Other than that there's nothing I'd consider provocative on any of the cards. The game is a bit steep learning-curve wise, but if he's played worker-placement games before there shouldn't be any issues. -

Answer: The copy I received is 2nd edition. -

Is this a stand alone game? Or is this an expansion? And is it pretty good with 2 players?
Answer: Argent the Consortium is the Stand alone. Argent the Mancers is the expansion which I recommend getting once you have played the game. The game is decent with 2 people but the best is about 3 to 4. The one downside of this game is that it can be very long like 3hr+.
