Answer: yes. that is not enough heat to melt plastic or rubber. -

Answer: Probably a little. Anything not made out of stainless steel will eventually rust. It has a little to do with whether the wheels are exposed to the elements. I am happy with them. Good quality. -

If each wheel load is 500 lbs, how the load capacity of four wheels is 1500 lbs?
Answer: If the wheels are high quality, then 500 lbs times four is 2000 lbs total capacity. I sent them back because it was too much wheel for my project. -

Does the caster lock firmly? I'm thinking of putting them on my cart but I don't want the cart to suddenly shift on me.
Answer: I have one set, on my trolley that are holding my goods. I have been very satisfied so far. Very stable when locked in place. -
