  • Question: Can this be used with both propane and butane gas?

    Answer: I used it with Propane however after a few days use, the gas burner lit itself without any water being turned on, this resulted in the vent glowing red hot (it looked like lava!) and solder started dripping out thr bottom of the unit; This caused the water left in the system to get so hot, the hot water pipe ruptured releasing scolding hot steam (repatedly), the only way to get it to shut off was to go out and turn the gas supply off. Very dangerous and would have started a fire if I hadn't seen it happen.
  • Question: Why doesn't mine work after winter, water just goes through the whole body of the case?

    Answer: Did you winterize the heater over winter? Did you remove all hoses in and out? If not it has probably popped a pipe due to water being left in it and freezing. As it's freezed it's split an internal pipe causing you to see what you have now water running through the case. I had the same issue and luckily I have been able to repair it but if you don't know anyone that can weld or in this case I soldered the splits. The unit will be rendered useless and it's worth no more than scrap unfortunately. I learnt from my lesson and could have been a costly one had I not repaired.
  • Question: How do you run the water to it?

    Answer: I use a sump pump.
  • Question: Can you use garden hose connectors on the water in and water out?

    Answer: Yes.
  • Question: Did this have a 20 minute cut off and if so can it be overridden?

    Answer: Yes, it's a safety device, but after 20 minutes it will restart itself unless you decide otherwise and turn it off.
  • Question: What size pipe does this use? Can't seem to get one to fit.

    Answer: Use a standard 1/2 inch flexible pipe from Screwfix.
  • Question: Could you use this to fill a bath?

    Answer: When you have mains pressure it gives a really good shower, a bath might take a while. But I’m really pleased with how good it is.
  • Question: Where do I get flu kit, etc?

    Answer: Shouldn't need a flu kit as it vents straight out of the top and does state to use in a well ventilated area.
